Ingredients for making fish head cake

When making fish head soaked in pancakes at home, you need to prepare two silver carp heads, 500 grams of homemade pancakes, 100 grams of pork belly, and some ingredients such as onion, ginger, garlic, red pepper, and bean paste. In addition, you also need to prepare some pepper, cooking wine, cooking oil, salt, coriander and other ingredients in appropriate amounts.

Steps to make fish head pancake

1. Cut the prepared fish head into two pieces from the lower jaw, then add appropriate amount of onion, ginger and cooking wine to marinate for about half an hour.

2. Wash the pork belly and cut it into slices. Heat oil in a wok and put the fish head in to fry until both sides are golden brown. Take it out and put the pork belly slices in and stir-fry until they change color.

3. After the pork belly slices are fried, add onions, ginger, garlic and chilies and stir-fry until fragrant. Then add the bean paste to make red oil. Then add water and the fried fish head. Bring to a boil over high heat, then simmer over low heat for about half an hour. Add salt and chicken essence and add coriander to enhance the flavor before serving.

4. Cut the homemade cakes into pieces and place them around the plate or put them in another plate. When eating, just soak them in fish soup.
