So what is the real shelf life of bottled water?Generally speaking, the shelf life of unopened bottled water is 3 months. Although the production of bottled water has been purified and must pass the QS certification, the drinking time of opened bottled water should not exceed 15 days, otherwise the bacteria that multiply rapidly in the water will cause diarrhea and a series of physical discomforts. If conditions permit, it is best not to exceed 5 days, so as to ensure the freshness and hygiene of the bottled water. In addition, it is also necessary to note that bacteria breed mostly at the seal of the water dispenser. After a few days of storage, various impurities and minerals in the water will settle at the bottom of the inner tank, accelerating the reproduction of bacteria. Therefore, experts recommend that household water dispensers should be disinfected once every six months. They should also be cleaned frequently in daily life to ensure the safety of water. |
