Take 30 grams of Poria powder, 15 grams of jujube, and 30 grams of glutinous rice.

Introduction to Poria cocos and jujube porridge

First, remove the core of the jujube and chop it into pieces. Put it into a pot and soak it in water for 20 minutes. Then add the polished rice and poria powder and cook it into porridge. Add appropriate amount of sugar when taking it.

Take twice a day. It has the effects of strengthening the spleen and stomach, removing dampness and stopping diarrhea.

Poria cocos is sweet, mild and flat in nature, and enters the heart, lung and spleen meridians. It has the effects of dispelling dampness and promoting diuresis, strengthening the spleen and stomach, and calming the mind. It can treat urinary dysfunction, edema, phlegm and cough, vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, spermatorrhea, stranguria, palpitations, and forgetfulness. The diuretic effect of Poria cocos is achieved by strengthening the spleen and lung functions, which is different from other Chinese medicines that directly promote diuresis. Ling Gui Zhu Gan Tang, Si Jun Zi Tang, Si Ling Tang, etc. are all commonly used prescriptions with Poria cocos.

1. Enhance human immunity. Jujube contains a large amount of carbohydrates, mainly glucose, but also fructose, sucrose, oligosaccharides composed of glucose and fructose, arabinan and galactaldosage polysaccharides, etc.; it also contains a large amount of vitamin C, riboflavin, thiamine, carotene, niacin and other vitamins, has a strong nourishing effect, can improve human immune function and enhance disease resistance.

2. Enhance muscle strength and increase body weight. The experimental mice were gavaged with a decoction of jujube every day for 3 weeks. Their weight gain was significantly higher than that of the control group. In the swimming test, their swimming time was significantly longer than that of the control group. This shows that jujube has the effect of enhancing muscle strength and increasing body weight.

3. Protect the liver. Experiments have confirmed that rabbits with liver damage caused by carbon tetrachloride were fed a decoction of jujube every day for one week. The results showed that the total protein and albumin in the serum increased significantly compared with the control group, indicating that jujube has a liver-protecting effect.
