How to ripen kiwi fruit

1. When kiwifruit is fully ripe, the flesh is very soft and inconvenient to store and transport. In many cases, when people pick kiwifruit, its flesh is still hard and not fully ripe, so it needs to be ripened before it can be eaten. There are many ways to ripen kiwifruit in life. The simplest way is to store it in a warm environment and seal it, and take it out and eat it after the flesh becomes soft.

2. Kiwifruit can also be ripened by the destruction method. The specific method is to take a clean toothpick, poke some small holes on the surface of the kiwifruit that needs to be ripened, then put the kiwifruit in a sealable plastic bag, tie the mouth of the plastic bag tightly, and place it directly in a warm environment to ripen. After two days, the kiwifruit will become soft, but the kiwifruit ripened by this method must be eaten as soon as possible, otherwise it will easily rot and deteriorate.

3. Kiwi can also be pushed out with ripe fruits. Common fruits in life such as apples, pears, bananas, etc. can be used to ripen kiwi, because these ripe fruits will release some ethylene during the storage process. Ethylene has a significant ripening effect on fruits and can make the kiwi flesh soften as soon as possible. When necessary, you can put unripe kiwi together with apples, pears, bananas and other fruits in a plastic bag, tie the mouth tightly, and then put it in a warm place. After a few days, the kiwi will be ripe.
