The shelf life of homemade wine and the storage method of homemade wine

Every autumn when grapes are available in large quantities, some people like to make wine at home. So how long is the shelf life of homemade wine? How should homemade wine be preserved? Today I will give a detailed introduction to the shelf life of homemade wine, and also share with you the preservation method of homemade wine.

The shelf life of homemade wine and the storage method of homemade wine

1. Shelf life of homemade wine

Usually, the shelf life of the wine we buy is between two and three years, but the production process and ingredients of homemade wine cannot be compared with those wines. Therefore, the shelf life of homemade wine is relatively short. It is best to drink it within one year, otherwise its taste will become lighter, and sometimes it will deteriorate and oxidize.

2. Storage equipment for homemade wine

If you want to preserve your homemade wine for a longer period of time, the container for storing the wine is very important. You can choose a small oak barrel, mineral water bottle, or cola bottle. However, no matter which container you choose to store the wine, you must choose one with good sealing, otherwise the homemade wine will easily oxidize and deteriorate during the storage process.

3. Storage environment of homemade wine

Homemade wine is best stored in an environment of twelve to fifteen degrees and away from light. It can be stored in an incubator, basement or other cool places at home. In addition, when storing homemade wine, the storage environment should be well ventilated, the humidity should not be too high, and no vibration should occur.
