1. The Origin of Pineapple Cake

Pineapple cakes have actually been around for a long time, dating back to the Three Kingdoms period, and later spread to Taichung. The original shape was a cake, with pineapple as the filling. After many modifications, the current pineapple cakes were created.

2. Preparation of pineapple cake ingredients

Pineapple cakes require 300g of low-gluten flour, 600g of pear paste, half an egg white, 2 egg yolks, 150g of butter, 60g of powdered sugar, 25g of milk powder, some baking soda, 25g of water, and some ghee.

3. How to make pineapple cake

Step 1: Add sugar to the cream and whip it first. When the cream turns milky white and bubbles up, add the egg liquid and beat until smooth.

Step 2: After mixing the milk powder and flour, add the cream paste above, add some baking soda and water, and mix thoroughly.

Step 3: Divide the flour dough into about 20 grams each. Similarly, divide the pineapple paste into 15 grams each.

Step 4: Add the pineapple paste into the dough, cover it and bake in the oven for 25 minutes.
