How to make pork jelly

Ingredients for making pork jelly

When making pork skin jelly at home, you need to prepare an appropriate amount of fresh pork skin, some ingredients for stewing meat such as star anise, cinnamon, and bay leaves, and also an appropriate amount of table salt.

The specific method of making pork skin jelly

1. Wash the purchased raw pig skin with clean water, then cut it into long strips, put it into a pot, add clean water, boil it over high heat, then wait for the pig skin to change color, and then cook it for about five minutes before taking it out.

2. Cool down the cooked pork skin, clean the remaining pig hair on its surface, and finally use a knife to clean the grease on the pig skin. This will make the boiled pork skin jelly transparent and beautiful.

3. After cleaning the pig skin, cut it into thinner strips, then put it in the pot and add clean water to cook again. After boiling, take out the pig skin strips, pour out the water in the pot, and put it back into the pot.

4. Put the prepared stew ingredients in the pot and then put the cooked pork skin in. Finally, add appropriate amount of water, then turn on the fire and boil. It will be ready after about ninety minutes. After boiling, add appropriate amount of light soy sauce and table salt, then boil again and turn off the heat.

5. Pour the cooked pork skin jelly into the container in several batches and let it freeze naturally. When you want to eat it, take it out and cut it into small pieces. Add chopped green onion, coriander, vinegar and other seasonings and mix well before eating.
