How to distinguish the authenticity of jade How to distinguish the authenticity of jade

In life, many people who like to collect jade are particularly interested in jade, but the quality of jade sold on the market is uneven, and some are real and some are fake. So how should they distinguish the authenticity of jade when buying it for collection? The authenticity of jade can be distinguished from many aspects. Next, I will write down its specific identification methods and share them with you.

How to distinguish the authenticity of jade How to distinguish the authenticity of jade

1. Water dripping identification

Real jade has very poor water permeability. When people want to determine its authenticity, they can drop 1 to 2 drops of water directly on the jade. If the water remains on the surface of the jade like dewdrops, it means it is real jade. If the surface of the jade is quickly penetrated and disappears, it means it is fake jade.

2. Feeling of loose stool

When distinguishing the authenticity of jade, you can also tell by the feel. When distinguishing, you can hold the jade in your hand and gently touch it with the other hand. If there is a cool and smooth feeling, it means it is real. Fake jade not only does not have a cool feeling, but also makes people feel that the surface is rough.

3. Look at it in the light

To distinguish whether jade is real or fake, you can also put the jade in a well-lit place and observe it carefully with your eyes. You can hold it in your hand and put it under the sun. If you find that its color is crystal clear and the green is evenly distributed, it means that it is jade of relatively good quality. If you find that there are bubbles in the jade and the green is unevenly distributed, it means that it is fake jade or of particularly poor quality.

4. Taste identification

Usually people can also distinguish the authenticity of jade by its taste. When distinguishing, you can hold the jade in your hand, lick it gently with the tip of your tongue, and then taste its taste. If there is a clear astringency, it means it is real jade, while those fake jades will not feel anything after being licked with the tip of your tongue. In addition, when distinguishing the authenticity of jade, you can also use a magnifying glass to observe it to see if it has cracks. Most of the time, jade without cracks is good jade, and those with cracks are fake jade or poor quality jade.
