What are the varieties of loofah

Varieties of loofah:

Xialu No. 1 Loofah: bred by Guangzhou Vegetable Research Institute. Early maturing, suitable for summer and autumn planting in the Pearl River Delta.

Green Win No. 1 Sponge Gourd: bred by Guangzhou Vegetable Research Center. Early-mature, planted in spring and autumn. Mainly bears fruit on the main vine, with strong continuous fruiting ability. Good commercial quality, 57.3cm long, 4.6cm in diameter.

Green Win No. 2 Sponge Gourd: bred by Guangzhou Agricultural Science Research Institute. Planted in spring and autumn. Early to mid-ripening, melon length 55.7-59.7 cm, horizontal diameter 4.2-4.6 cm. Average single melon weight 403 grams. Good quality. Anthracnose resistant, highly resistant to blight, wilt resistant.

Yalu No. 1 loofah: bred by the Vegetable Institute of Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Planted in spring, summer and autumn. Early maturing, 55 cm long, 5 cm horizontal stem.

Yalu No. 2 loofah: bred by the Vegetable Institute of Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Early-maturing, planted in spring and autumn. The melon is 54.5 cm long and 4.8 cm in diameter.

Guangdong Excellent Loofah: Bred by the Vegetable Institute of Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Planted in spring and autumn. Early-maturity, strong growth and branching ability. Green-white skin with spots, about 50 cm long and 5 cm in diameter.

Wanbao loofah: bred by the Horticulture Seedling Development Center of Huazhong Agricultural University, early to mid-maturing, 60 days from sowing to early harvest, strong seedlings, good fruiting, commercial melons are evenly shaped, shallow ridges, 60 cm long, and 5 cm horizontal stems. Suitable for summer and autumn planting.

Yamei Green Loofah: Produced by Guangzhou Jinmiao Seed Company, it has good early maturity, 57 days from sowing to initial harvest, medium seedling vigor, good fruit setting, high yield, good heat resistance, and the commercial fruit is evenly symmetrical, 60 cm long and with a 5 cm horizontal stem.

Baolu No. 2 loofah: produced by Guangzhou Honghai Seedling Co., Ltd., early maturity, long stick-shaped, even head and tail, 60-75 cm long, 5 cm in diameter, dense flesh, sweet taste. Suitable sowing period in Guangzhou area is December-April and July-September.
