Ginkgo, also known as Ginkgo biloba, is a deciduous tree and an ancient tree species in my country. Ginkgo nuts are soft and nutritious, and are a high-grade tonic. They contain fatty acids, starch, hydrocyanic acid, protein and histidine. The Compendium of Materia Medica states that they are "slightly bitter and slightly sweet, warm in nature and slightly toxic. Eating too much can cause bloating." Because ginkgo nuts contain ginkgol and ginkgolic acid, eating them raw can cause poisoning.

Therefore, before cooking, it is necessary to soak it in warm water for several hours, then put it into a boiling water pot and cook it, so that the toxic substances will dissolve in the water and evaporate under the heat. To ensure safety, even cooked food should be eaten in moderation, with no more than 20 pills for adults and less than 10 for children.
