The operation procedures of bag-grown straw mushrooms

Today I will tell you about the operation procedures of bag-grown straw mushrooms. It is very good. Please save it well:

1 soaked straw

Choose dry and mold-free rice straw and soak it in a pool of 5% lime water for 10-12 hours. When soaking the straw, be sure to compact it so that the lime water in the pool can completely submerge the straw.

2 Cut the straw

Take out the soaked straw and let the remaining water drip off, then cut it into 20cm long segments with a grass cutter or a guillotine. Note that if it is too long, it will be difficult to bag, while if it is too short, it will be labor-intensive and will not be conducive to the twisting of mycelium.

3. Medium formulation

50kg rice straw, 7.5-10kg rice bran, 1-1.5kg peanut husk, 1kg phosphate fertilizer, 1kg gypsum powder, 0.15-0.25kg potassium dihydrogen phosphate; 35kg rice straw, 5kg rice bran (wheat bran), 1.5kg corn flour, 15kg cottonseed hull, 1.5kg gypsum powder, 1kg compound fertilizer; 50kg rice straw, 5kg corn flour, 1.5kg peanut husk, 1kg gypsum powder, 1kg phosphate fertilizer. All raw materials in the formula should be dry, free of mildew and impurities, and peanut husk should be crushed before use.

4 Mixing

First, mix the other ingredients in the recipe together and mix well. Finally, sprinkle the mixed ingredients evenly on the straw. After mixing several times, you can bag them.

5. Bagging

Low-pressure polyethylene tube bag film is generally used for bag-grown straw mushrooms, and the specifications are 50cm×24cm×0.0035cm (or 0.004cm) bags. In order to reduce production costs, 56cm×30cm×0.005cm bags can also be used. The material should be filled firmly. The bag should not be broken. After filling, the two ends are tied tightly with plastic packaging tape slipknots.

6. Disinfection and sterilization

The loaded barrel materials should be sterilized in time, and the sterilization time should be kept at 100℃ for 8-12 hours. The barrel materials loaded on the same day should be sterilized on the same day to prevent acidification and deterioration.

7 Vaccination

After the sterilization, the material bag can be cooled to below 40℃ before inoculation. When inoculating, untie the material bag and conduct open inoculation, and evenly sprinkle the bacteria on both ends of the material bag. It is generally appropriate to inoculate 10-12 bags of bacteria per bottle.

8. Bacteria management

The inoculated mushroom tubes should be arranged and piled up, and the temperature of the pile should be tested frequently. It should not exceed 40℃ to prevent the pile from burning and causing a total crop failure. Under normal circumstances, the fungi will be ready in about 10 days.

9. Mushroom production management

For the mushroom bags that have been fermented, take them out of the bags and harvest them. The method is to empty the bags, pile them into a 4-5-layer high mushroom wall, cover them with film, ventilate the air several times a day, keep the relative humidity of the air at around 90%, and reduce the temperature difference to below 5℃ as much as possible.

10. Harvest

Timely harvesting is an important measure to increase the yield of straw mushrooms. The cap of straw mushrooms is oval, and it is best to harvest before the cap is broken. When harvesting, hold the culture medium at the growing part of the mushroom body with one hand, and grasp the base of the mushroom body with the other hand, and gently twist off the large and small clusters, and be sure not to hurt the immature young buds. Use a knife to remove the rotten grass and debris at the base of the harvested straw mushrooms before grading or processing.
