In May 2012, Seeds Trust, an American company specializing in providing agricultural seeds, obtained a special kind of glass corn seeds. When mature, they are colorful and the corn kernels are as crystal clear as glass beads. They are called glass corn.

Maize is one of the most widespread crops in the world, with an estimated 5,000-year history of cultivation.

The glazed corn is extremely colorful, but it is guaranteed to be edible, and its colorful colors are not photoshopped. According to Seeds Trust, these corn seeds were obtained by seed expert Greg Schoen; he visited an 80-year-old Cherokee descendant living in Oklahoma, a branch of the Indian ethnic group, and obtained their magical corn seeds.

Market demand for glazed corn

The glazed corn has a candy-like color, which may attract a large number of children who don't like to eat corn. Since the Seeds Trust company announced the information about glazed corn on its Facebook homepage, the public has shown great interest in this magical crop, and the company's website was once paralyzed due to too many visitors.

However, Seeds Trust said that the current planting volume is too small to be circulated on the market.
