Efficacy: There are southern and northern types of Adenophora. The northern type is the root of the Umbelliferae plant Coralleaf; the southern type is the root of the Campanulaceae plant Adenophora apricotii. Adenophora porridge is recorded in the book "Essentials of Diagnosis and Treatment". It is made by boiling Adenophora and glutinous rice with water. It has the functions of moistening the lungs and nourishing the stomach, clearing away heat and nourishing yin, and removing phlegm and relieving cough.
