Ingredients for pickled snow red

When pickling Chinese snow mulberry, you can prepare 5 kilograms of Chinese snow mulberry, 500 grams of table salt, 50 grams of peppercorns, and appropriate amounts of sauce, onions, and dried red peppers. In addition, you also need to prepare a clean pickle container.

Steps to make pickled snow red

1. Remove the yellow leaves from the fresh snow vegetable you bought, cut off its roots, and then wash it with clean water. After washing, drain the water and dry it for later use.

2. Clean the cutting board, knife and all containers used for pickling snow mustard greens, and dry them to make sure they are free of water and oil. Cut the snow mustard greens into long sections with a knife, put them in a large bowl, add salt and pepper, and mix them by hand.

3. Marinate for a few hours and rub the blood-red with your hands. When rubbing, turn the blood-red back and forth to allow it to fully contact with the salt. Pour out the brine.

4. Cut the prepared green onions and dried red peppers into shreds, then put them into the kneaded blood red, mix well, put them into the pickled vegetable jar, seal it and pickle it. After ten days, the blood red will be pickled and can be taken out and eaten when needed.

5. When eating pickled snow mustard greens, be sure to use oil-free and water-free chopsticks, otherwise the snow mustard greens will easily deteriorate.
