How to wash grapes? The correct way to wash grapes

Every summer, grapes ripen and are picked and shipped to all parts of the country for sale. Grapes taste sweet and sour and are rich in nutrients, making them popular among consumers. However, grapes are difficult to store, and many people have to spray preservatives on them, which are very harmful to health. Therefore, the method of washing grapes is particularly important.

How to wash grapes

1. First, use scissors to cut the grape stems and fruits. Do not pick them by hand, as this will easily break the skin and contaminate the flesh inside. It is best to cut close to the grapes and not leave any broken stems outside, as this will easily pierce other grapes and is difficult to clean. First, rinse the cut grapes under the tap several times to remove the dirt on them.

2. Next, put the grapes in a basin and add a large amount of water, preferably to completely submerge the grapes. Then, add an appropriate amount of salt and flour. If flour is not available, starch can be used instead. Salt can sterilize, and flour has a strong cleaning effect. Let it soak for a quarter of an hour, then stir it gently with your hands, then pour out the water and rinse it with clean water.

The correct way to wash grapes

1. Wash with toothpaste

The toothpaste we use to brush our teeth also has a strong cleaning effect and can be used to wash grapes. First rinse the grapes with clean water, then put them in a basin with plenty of water. Squeeze a small amount of toothpaste into the water, about the amount we usually use for brushing our teeth. Then slowly stir the water to dissolve the toothpaste, then add some flour and stir well. After that, rinse the grapes with clean water.

2. Wash with a towel

When washing grapes, you can also use a towel to wash them. First prepare a clean towel, cut the grapes, wrap them with the towel, put them in a basin, add a lot of water to soak for a while, and then gently sieve with a towel. This method does not need to add anything, and the white frost on the grapes can still be washed off.
