Especially when bayberries are on the market in large quantities, its shelf life is relatively short. If it is made into bayberry wine, it can be stored for a longer time. But how should good bayberry wine be made? How should bayberries be used to brew bayberry wine?

Bayberry wine brewing materials

When bayberry is on the market in large quantities, you need to brew bayberry wine. Prepare 700 grams of fresh bayberry, one kilogram of white wine, 200 grams of rock sugar, and a clean glass bottle.

Steps for brewing bayberry wine

1. Put the prepared fresh bayberry in a basin, add a small amount of table salt, then add clean water, stir slowly with your hands, and then let the fresh bayberry soak in the salt water for about 20 minutes.

2. After taking out the soaked bayberry, rinse it with clean water, then put it on the filter rack to dry the surface moisture. At this time, you need to prepare rock sugar and white wine. It is best to choose a pure grain white wine with a light fragrance. The alcohol content should not be too high, about 40 degrees is fine.

3. Gently place the dried bayberries in the prepared wide-mouthed glass bottle and whiten them. Place one layer of bayberries at a time, and alternate with rock sugar. Put rock sugar on the top layer, then pour the prepared white wine into the glass bottle. The white wine should cover the bayberries by about two centimeters.

4. Seal the lid of the glass bottle and put it in a cool and ventilated place. Lift the bottle with your hand and shake it gently every three days. After about 30 days, the white wine inside will turn bright red. At this time, you can smell the rich aroma of bayberry wine when you open the lid.

5. When making bayberry wine, there is no fixed ratio between bayberry, white wine and rock sugar. If you like bayberry wine with a sweeter taste, you can add more rock sugar. If you want the alcohol content of the bayberry wine to be lower, you can add less white wine. However, the amount of white wine must be able to cover the bayberry, otherwise the bayberry will easily deteriorate during the process of brewing bayberry wine.
