Hibiscus cultivation methods and precautions

Hibiscus hibiscus, also known as hibiscus, is a species of plant in the Malvaceae family. It is a beautiful plant with high ornamental value. In daily life, many people want to cultivate this beautiful ornamental plant, but they don’t know its cultivation method. Today, the editor will introduce this aspect, so that everyone can understand the cultivation method of Hibiscus hibiscus, and also know what to pay attention to when cultivating it.

How to grow hibiscus

1. Choose the right soil

When growing hibiscus, you must choose suitable soil for it, because the plant likes fertile soil rich in humus, and the pH value is best between 6.5 and 7. Such soil can provide rich nutrients for the normal growth of hibiscus and keep it vigorous vitality.

2. Temperature

Hibiscus is an ornamental plant that likes a warm environment. It has poor cold resistance. When growing it, be sure to keep the indoor temperature at around 20 degrees. After entering winter, try to place it in a warm environment between 10 and 15 degrees. If the ambient temperature is lower than 5 degrees, its leaves will dry up and fall off, and in severe cases it will die due to low temperature.

Things to note when growing hibiscus

1. Pay attention to fertilization

Hibiscus is a kind of fertilizer-washing paper. When I grow it, I must pay attention to the supply of fertilizer. Especially after it enters the peak growth season, the demand for fertilizer is relatively large. It should be fertilized once every 20 days. The fertilizer must be prepared as a thin liquid fertilizer. After topdressing, it must be watered in time so that it can absorb the effective nutrients in the fertilizer as soon as possible and allow it to grow healthily.

2. Pay attention to water supply

Water is a necessary condition for the production of hibiscus, and this plant has a relatively large demand for water. During the cultivation process, it should be watered every 2 to 3 days. After it enters the peak growth season, it should be watered once a day. When watering, it should be watered thoroughly, but water should not accumulate in the flowerpot. When cultivating hibiscus, it is also necessary to provide it with sufficient light and receive sunlight every day. The time is preferably about 8 hours. If there is insufficient sunlight, it will also affect its flowering period.

The above introduces the cultivation methods of hibiscus and also lets everyone know the many precautions when cultivating hibiscus. As long as you master this knowledge and follow the methods introduced above, you will be able to grow hibiscus well and make it bloom more and more beautiful flowers.
