How to grow Gloriosa and what to pay attention to when growing Gloriosa

Gloriosa is a plant of the lily family. It is very common in my country and has beautiful flowers. It can be grown outdoors in the south and potted indoors in the north. Its flowers can be made into flower arrangements or corsages, and can also beautify the environment and purify the air. But how should Gloriosa be cultivated? What should be paid attention to during its cultivation? Next, the editor will talk about these issues for you.

Cultivation methods and precautions of Gloriosa

1. Gloriosa's soil requirements

Gloriosa likes to grow in well-drained and permeable soil, and when preparing the potting soil, it is necessary to add sufficient humus. Gloriosa grows fastest when the soil humidity reaches 80%, and the air humidity cannot be lower than 60%.

2. The temperature of the light for Gloriosa to grow

The plant Gloriosa is afraid of strong light and drought when growing, and its cold resistance is relatively poor. When the outside temperature is lower than 22 degrees, Gloriosa will show adverse symptoms such as poor flower development and inability to bear fruit. When the outside temperature is lower than 15 degrees, the plants on the ground will suffer frost damage. It grows fastest when the outside temperature is between 22 and 24 degrees.

3. Fertilizer management of Gloriosa

When planting Gloriosa, sufficient base fertilizer is needed. It is best to choose a compound fertilizer containing calcium, magnesium and phosphorus. During the growth period, topdressing is needed once a month. In spring, topdressing is mainly nitrogen fertilizer, while in summer, phosphorus fertilizer and potassium fertilizer should be added. Only with sufficient fertilizer can the normal growth of Gloriosa rhizomes be facilitated and beautiful flowers can be bloomed.
