Homemade tomato sauce recipe

The method of making homemade tomato sauce is actually very simple. You can make it when you have free time. So let me tell you about it below:

Specific steps:

1 Pick three fully ripe and plump fresh tomatoes and wash them. Put them in a bowl, cut them in half, and microwave them on high for 1.5 minutes. (Remember to cut them before putting them in the microwave.)

Or steam it in a pot (you don’t need to cut it), and cook it for three minutes after the water boils (tomatoes are easy to cook)

2 After the steamed tomatoes have cooled down, peel them and use a small bowl to collect them. Wash your hands and do not discard the juice that has flowed out, nor the juice that has been steamed.

3 After peeling, cut the tomatoes into small dices. Use a knife to cut the container a few times so that the soup will not get on the surface.

4 Pour the chopped tomatoes and all the soup into a small pot, add a teaspoon of salt and two teaspoons of sugar, and cook thoroughly. Stir while cooking - this takes a long time, and the soup is very thin at the beginning, so just stir it a few times and don't watch it all the time. Check it every few minutes. When the soup thickens, you will see that the amount of soup has obviously decreased by half. At this time, you need to wait patiently and stir it constantly. When the soup is reduced to one-third - or when you scoop it up with a spoon and see that the color is bright red, the taste is rich, and it is thick, it is ready. It takes at least 20 minutes. After cooling, pour it into a container and store it in the refrigerator.

5 Because the juice will flow out sufficiently after the tomatoes are steamed and chopped, you don’t need to add water when cooking, so the taste is very pure. ----- If you really feel that the diced tomatoes have less juice, you can also add a little water.

6 If you pursue the taste of Western food, or want to make sauce for steak, you can also add chopped onion, chopped garlic or black pepper when cooking. The flavor will be more unique. However, it is not easy to preserve it for a long time because it will have a smell.
