How to grow hydrangea

Hydrangea is a very lovely flower. It has an umbrella-like shape and is composed of multiple petals. From a distance, it looks like a ball, hence the name hydrangea. Hydrangea is a relatively easy flower to grow and easy to cultivate. Here is a method for growing hydrangea. Friends who like flowers can learn from it.

How to grow hydrangea

1. Hydrangea is a plant that likes to grow in a warm environment. This plant is most afraid of scorching sun. Spring, summer and autumn are the three seasons when it grows fastest. Do not over-water when cultivating it, and do not allow water to accumulate in the pot, otherwise the hydrangea will suffer from root rot.

2. Hydrangea should not be kept in the sun for a long time. If you keep it in a dark environment for about ten hours a day, it will grow flower buds in about forty days. Then put it in a low temperature environment of five to seven degrees. After eight weeks, move it to a warm environment and it will bloom soon.

3. When hydrangeas grow most vigorously, people should prune and top them properly, otherwise the hydrangeas will grow too much and fail to grow into an ideal appearance. After the hydrangeas fade each year, people should also prune their branches and leaves, so as to further promote the formation of new branches and leaves. When its new branches grow to eight to ten centimeters, they should be cut short again. Hydrangeas treated in this way are more conducive to flowering in the second year. It should be noted that hydrangeas should still be watered in winter, but the amount should be less than in other seasons.
