Fengshui Pear

The Hosui pear originated from the Horticulture Experimental Station of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Japan. It is one of the three Japanese pears, and its quality is better than Kosui and Shinsui. It is of high quality, with an average single fruit weight of 240 grams and a maximum single fruit weight of 750 grams. The fruit is oblate with 2-3 suture lines, a sugar content of up to 16%, juicy, and excellent taste. The mature color is reddish brown, and the bagged fruit is golden yellow and translucent. The ripening period is August.

Fengshui pear has a large growth volume, fast growth, early fruiting, high and stable yield, high self-fruiting rate, flowering in two years, more than 100 kg per mu in three years, and more than 2,000 kg per mu in four years. Cultivation: 110 plants/mu in hills; 55-74 plants/mu in plains. Strong resistance to adversity, extremely resistant to black spot disease, no other diseases found. Strong adaptability, grows well in sandy loam, sandy soil and clay soil. Delicious and juicy. Cold in nature, has the effects of moistening the lungs, eliminating phlegm, relieving cough and reducing fire.

Medicinal value of Fengshui pear

Cold, cough, acute bronchitis:

Wash and chop a raw pear with skin, add rock sugar and candle water to drink. Take a large raw pear, remove the lid, dig out the core, add 3 grams of Fritillaria cirrhosa, cover it again, fix it with bamboo sticks, steam it in a bowl for 1-2 hours, drink the soup and eat the pear, one pear per day.

Acute bronchitis cough:

Take several pounds of fresh pears, boil them down, remove the residue, add rock sugar to make a paste, take 1 spoon each time, mix with warm water, twice a day.

Side effects and contraindications of Fengshui pear

① Pears are cold in nature, and eating too much will damage the spleen and stomach. Therefore, people with weak spleen and stomach and fear of cold food should eat less.

② Pears contain a lot of fruit acid, so people with high stomach acid should not eat too much.

③ Pears have a diuretic effect. People who frequently urinate at night should eat less pears before going to bed.

④ Patients with blood deficiency, fear of cold, diarrhea, cold hands and feet should not eat too many pears, and it is best to cook them before eating to prevent the symptoms of dampness and cold from worsening. ⑤ Pears contain high sugar content, so diabetics should be careful.

⑥ Pears contain a lot of fruit acid and should not be used with alkaline drugs, such as aminophylline, baking soda, etc.

⑦ Pears should not be eaten with crabs to avoid causing diarrhea.

⑧If you want to relieve cough and reduce phlegm, you should not choose sweet pears with too high sugar content.
