How to cultivate yew? Share the cultivation method of yew

Yew trees can be used for viewing, purifying the environment, and have certain medicinal value, so many friends want to grow yew trees, but they don’t know how to grow them. Let’s share some tips today.

How to cultivate yew

1. Soil

The soil of yew needs to be loose, rich in humus, water-retaining, fertilizer-retaining, and breathable. It is recommended to use a mixed matrix made of peat soil, perlite, etc. and loam.

2. Lighting

Yew likes shade the most, so it needs to be properly shaded. Don't put it in direct sunlight, which will cause the branches and leaves to dehydrate and dry up. In midsummer, you can put the yew in the living room, balcony, corner and other cool places during the day, and move it to the balcony or windowsill in the evening for ventilation. But it must be exposed to sunlight appropriately.

3. Watering

If you find that the leaves of the yew are drooping, you should water them in time. If the leaves of the yew are drooping, it means that the water shortage is very serious. Water the outdoor yew every 15-20 days, and water the indoor one every 20-25 days. It is best to keep the moisture content of the soil at about 40%.

4. Pest and disease control

There are very few insect pests for yew. If you find that the yew is turning yellow or is infected with diseases and insect pests, you can water or spray it with thiophanate-methyl or potassium dihydrogen phosphate.
