Ingredients for mustard porridge

Pork shank

Lean pork, rice, and mustard greens.

Seasoning: salt and pepper.

How to make mustard porridge

1. Wash the chopped shanks, put them into a pressure cooker, add water and ginger slices, boil over high heat until steam is released, then simmer for about 10 minutes over low heat. Slice the lean meat, marinate with a little soy sauce and cornstarch for later use;

2. Take another clean pot, wash the rice, mix it with some cooking oil, put it into the pot, add pork bone soup, and simmer over low heat until the rice is soft and glutinous;

3. Add the chopped mustard greens and the marinated lean meat slices, mix well, and let it cook for about 5 minutes. When the porridge is fragrant, add appropriate amount of salt and pepper.

Precautions

1. Mustard greens are not afraid of being cooked. If you like the soft and glutinous texture, you can cook them for a little longer after putting them in, or even cook them with porridge.

2. To make the porridge soft and delicious, the trick is to add some cooking oil to the rice.

3. Mustard greens have the effect of clearing heat. They also contain crude fiber and rich folic acid, which promote gastrointestinal motility.
