Pomegranate peel porridge

Pomegranate peel is the peel of the pomegranate of the Punica granatum family. Pomegranates are picked in autumn when the fruit is ripe and the top cracks. The seeds and pulp are removed, and the petals are cut and dried in the sun or in a low-temperature oven. The dried peel is irregular or semicircular in shape, 2 to 3 mm thick. The outer surface is dark red or brownish red, rough, with small white bumps; the top has a residual persistent calyx; the base has a fruit stalk. The inner surface is bright yellow or brownish yellow, and there are raised and mesh-like fruit pedicle remnants. The texture is brittle and hard, and it is easy to break. The smell is weak and the taste is astringent. The ones with thick skin and reddish brown color are preferred.

[Ingredients] 30 grams of pomegranate peel, 100 grams of polished rice, and appropriate amount of white sugar.

How to make pomegranate peel porridge

1 Wash the pomegranate peel and put it into the casserole.

2 Add appropriate amount of water and boil, take the juice and remove the residue, then add the glutinous rice to cook porridge.

3 When the porridge is almost cooked, add sugar and cook for a while.

[Usage] 1-2 times a day, 3-5 days as a course of treatment.

【Efficacy】 Warming the kidney and stopping leucorrhea. Suitable for spleen and kidney deficiency, persistent leucorrhea, backache and abdominal pain.

【Notes】 It is not suitable for people with fever, urinary incontinence, or damp heat.
