Modern pharmacological studies have confirmed that coix seed contains coix ester, coixin, starch, fatty oil, vitamin B1, etc. Coix oil can lower blood sugar, reduce serum calcium, dilate blood vessels, and has a diuretic effect. Coix seed decoction has a certain inhibitory effect on cancer cells. Therefore, there are many prescriptions composed of this product as the main medicine, and the treatment is also very extensive. Damp-heat arthralgia: 18g of raw coix seed and 9g of saposhnikovia divaricata. Add 500ml of water to the above medicines, boil for 30 minutes, take the juice and put it in a thermos bottle; add 500ml of water to the residue, boil for 30 minutes, take the juice and mix it with the first decoction, and drink it instead of tea. Drink it several times within 1 day, 1 dose per day, 7 days as a course of treatment.

Flat warts: 10g each of coix seed, isatis leaf, oyster, 6g each of patrinia, prunella vulgaris, and red peony root. Take 1 dose per day, decocted twice. Add appropriate amount of water for the first decoction; add water to the second decoction to get 1000ml of the decoction, set aside. Take the first decoction orally twice a day, morning and evening; pour the second decoction into a basin and fumigate the affected area while it is hot. Twice a day, 10 to 20 minutes each time.

Diarrhea: 12g each of coix seed and barley malt. Stir-fry the two ingredients until they are charred and then boil them in water to extract the juice. This is the daily dose, taken twice a day, morning and evening. This recipe helps digestion and stops diarrhea, and is suitable for diarrhea caused by indigestion.

Eczema: 18g coix seed, 60g polished rice, a small amount of crystal sugar. Cook coix seed and polished rice into porridge, then add a small amount of crystal sugar. Take 1 dose per day, twice a day, morning and evening. This recipe strengthens the spleen and removes dampness, and is suitable for eczema of spleen deficiency type.

Dysmenorrhea: 18g of stir-fried coix seed, 6g of mugwort and dried ginger. First, boil the dried ginger and mugwort in water to extract the juice, then add the washed coix seed to cook porridge. Take 1 dose daily, twice a day, morning and evening. It is suitable for dysmenorrhea caused by cold and dampness stagnation. It is usually taken 2 days before menstruation and taken for 8 consecutive days.

Leucorrhea: 18g coix seed, 60g rice, 10g wild yam. Wash them all, put the wild yam into a gauze bag, tie the mouth, boil until the rice is rotten and the porridge is thick, remove the medicine bag, and eat the porridge. This is a daily dose, take twice a day, morning and evening. This prescription is suitable for leucorrhea caused by detoxification.
