Every autumn, persimmons are available in large quantities on the market. Many people like to eat this sweet fruit, but some people find that the persimmons are hard and astringent after buying them and are completely inedible. This can be solved by properly ripening the persimmons. As long as the ripening is successful, the persimmons will become soft, sweet and especially delicious. So how should persimmons be ripened? How to ripen persimmons1. Sealed ripening There are many different ways to ripen persimmons in life. The simplest and most common method is to seal and ripen. Before ripening persimmons, you can prepare a clean and undamaged container, place all the persimmons that need to be ripened in the container, put one or two naturally ripened apples or pears on top, then seal the mouth of the container and place it in a warm environment. After about a week, the persimmons inside will be ripened. 2. Ripening of liquor Persimmons can also be ripened with the help of white wine, and the ripening method is not complicated. When necessary, you can wipe the surface of the persimmons that need to be ripened with a clean cloth, and then prepare a bowl of white wine and a clean cloth, use the cloth to temporarily apply an appropriate amount of white wine and then wipe it directly on the surface of the persimmons, then put the persimmons in a plastic bag or sealed container, and store them for 3 to 5 days. At this time, the persimmons will be ripe and will become sweet and delicious. 3. High temperature ripening Persimmons can also be ripened quickly in a high temperature environment. When necessary, unripe persimmons can be placed in a high temperature environment of 40 to 50 degrees and wrapped with cotton cloth or other warm materials. This can also ripen them quickly, but it cannot be stored in a high temperature environment for too long, otherwise it will easily rot and deteriorate. 4. Drug ripening When persimmons are not yet ripe, they can be ripened with drugs. Ethylene is a commonly used drug for ripening persimmons. When ripening, you can place the persimmons in place, spray a proper amount of spray on their surface, and then cover them with quilts or other warm items. After two or three days, the persimmons inside will be ripe and soft, but there will be pesticide residues on the surface of the persimmons ripened in this way. It is not recommended to use this method when ripening a small amount of persimmons at home. |
