How to grow Phalaenopsis

Phalaenopsis is known as the queen of orchids. It is a particularly beautiful and attractive plant. This plant originally grew in tropical areas, and later developed into the most important cultivated flowers throughout the country. This flower is relatively delicate and difficult to cultivate, but it doesn't matter. As long as you master its cultivation method, it is not difficult to cultivate Phalaenopsis. The following is a detailed introduction to the cultivation method of Phalaenopsis. If you are interested, you can take a look.

How to grow Phalaenopsis

1. Phalaenopsis originally grows in the tropics. It is a special plant that likes high temperature and high humidity. When it is cultivated at home, it is also necessary to ensure that it lives in an environment above 15 degrees. When the daytime temperature is 27 degrees and the nighttime temperature is around 18 degrees, Phalaenopsis grows fastest.

2. In early spring, late autumn and winter, when the outside temperature is too low, Phalaenopsis should be grown in a room with a higher temperature, preferably a heated house. But remember not to keep Phalaenopsis too close to the radiator. When the hot weather comes in summer, ventilation and cooling should be carried out in time. If the cooling is not timely, Phalaenopsis will stop growing when the temperature exceeds 32 degrees.

3. Phalaenopsis is originally an epiphytic plant and does not have high requirements for water. In nature, its roots are exposed outside. People only plant it in the soil when they grow it at home. If it is watered too much, the roots of Phalaenopsis will rot and the leaves will turn yellow. In severe cases, it will die directly.

4. Phalaenopsis likes to grow in shady places most of the time, but when it is about to bloom, it should be moved to the sun, so that the flowers will be more colorful and attractive. However, the sun mentioned here does not mean direct sunlight. The direct sunlight should be blocked by about 40%.

5. When fertilizing Phalaenopsis, you should mainly use light fertilizer, and the amount should not be too large. The best time to fertilize is when it is in its peak growth season. You can pour the phosphorus fertilizer into the flowerpot after dissolving it in water. In addition, after the flowers fade, you should trim them in time, which is very beneficial for flowering next year.
