Cultivation methods and precautions of money tree

The money tree is an ornamental plant native to Africa. When it grows up, it is between 50 and 80 centimeters tall. Its leaves are like strings of ancient coins, and its appearance is very beautiful. It is suitable for cultivation in the study and living room at home. The following are the cultivation methods and precautions of the money tree, which can be used as a reference for friends who grow flowers.

Cultivation methods and precautions of money tree

1. Money tree is mostly planted by division. It is best to divide it when the outside temperature is around 18 degrees. When planting, some loose soil should be put in the flowerpot, and some sulfur powder should be applied to its roots for disinfection. When burying, just insert it about two centimeters. Remember not to bury it too deep.

2. Money tree is suitable for growing between 20 and 32 degrees. When the outside temperature is too high in summer, you should move the money tree to a cooler place indoors in time, and spray water on the leaves to cool it down. In winter, if the temperature is below zero, it will cause great harm to the money tree. Therefore, when the low temperature comes, antifreeze treatment should be carried out in time.

3. The need for sunlight of the money tree is somewhat contradictory. It is a special plant that likes sunlight but also likes shade. It is not suitable to grow under strong light conditions. The semi-shaded area near the window is the ideal environment for the growth of the money tree. If the sunlight is too strong, its leaves will be burned. If the sunlight is too weak, the leaves will turn yellow.

4. Money tree is a very drought-resistant plant. Do not water it too much. In addition, it likes to grow in slightly acidic soil and requires high permeability of the soil. It is best to fertilize it twice a day.
