There is a clear difference between raisins and grapes in terms of their origin, because although raisins are a type of grape, they are mainly produced abroad. In many regions, they are also called American grapes. Most of the grapes seen in the domestic fruit market are imported from overseas, while grapes are a common fruit native to China. In other words, all raisins are a type of grape, but not all grapes are raisins.

2. Taste

There is also a certain difference in taste between raisins and grapes. The skin of raisins is thinner and has white frost on the surface. The flesh is crisper and has less juice. It tastes sweet and the skin can be eaten together with the flesh. The skin of grapes is thicker, the flesh is soft and juicy, and tastes sweet. The skin is usually removed when eating.

There are also obvious differences in appearance between raisins and grapes. Most of the grapes sold on the market are bright red, purple-black or yellow-green, and are mostly oval in shape. Grapes sold on the market can be divided into many different varieties, and the color of their skin changes with the variety. Most grapes have purple-red skin and are mostly round in shape.

4. Taste

There is also a certain difference in taste between raisins and grapes. Raisins are sweet, large, and tender fruits, while grapes are sour, small, and healthy fruits with a lot of juice. In addition, most grape varieties have seeds, but few raisins have seeds.
