How to eat bergamot? Tips on eating bergamot

Bergamot is the fruit of the Rutaceae plant, which has a very unique appearance, like an open Buddha's hand. When it matures, it has a strong natural aroma. It can be used as a spice or medicine, and can be eaten as a vegetable. However, many people don't know how to eat bergamot when they first see it. Today I will introduce some tips on eating bergamot so that everyone can learn more about how to eat it.

Tips on eating bergamot

1. Eat fresh directly

Naturally ripened bergamot is a fruit that can be eaten fresh. When it is ripe, the surface of the peel will turn yellow, and the internal flesh will be white. When eating it, it is like eating an orange. Remove the outer yellow peel, take out the white flesh inside, and eat it directly. At this time, the fruit tastes sweet, crisp and delicious.

2. Make desserts

Bergamot desserts are also very delicious. When making them, you need to wash the fresh dried sweet potatoes with clean water, then use a fruit knife to cut them into small pieces, or directly cut them into thin strips, then put them in a bowl and add an appropriate amount of rock sugar. Marinate for 5 to 6 hours. After marinating, put them in a pot, add a small amount of clean water and stew until it boils, then stew over medium and low heat for half an hour. After stewing, take them out and eat them.

3. Soak in water and drink

Bergamot can also be used to make tea, but before making tea with bergamot, it needs to be marinated with honey first. When marinating, wash the Xinjiang bergamot, cut it into shreds, put it in a clean glass bottle, add appropriate amount of honey, mix well and seal it for 3 to 5 days. After marinating, take out 10 to 20 grams each time, put it in a cup, and directly mix it with warm water.

4. Stir-fried Chayote

Bergamot can also be eaten as a vegetable. It tastes especially good after stir-frying. When making it, you need to cut fresh bergamot into shreds, prepare an appropriate amount of scallion and ginger shreds, heat oil in a wok, add the scallion and ginger shreds into the wok and stir-fry until fragrant, then add the bergamot shreds into the wok and stir-fry quickly, add a small amount of table salt and light soy sauce to enhance the flavor, and it can be served directly after two or three minutes.
