How to make passion fruit jam

Passion fruit, also known as egg fruit, is a delicious and nutritious tropical fruit. It can be eaten directly after it matures, or it can be made into jam and preserved. To make passion fruit jam, you need to prepare 20 fresh and ripe passion fruits and half a lemon. In addition, you also need to prepare 200 grams of white sugar and 150 grams of maltose, and finally 10 grams of jelly powder. You also need to prepare a larger, clean glass bottle.

Passion fruit jam making steps

1. Rinse the passion fruit with clean water, dry the surface moisture, then cut it in the middle with a knife, take a clean small spoon, scoop out all the flesh inside, and put it into a large bowl.

2. After crushing the prepared half lemon, take out the lemon juice, add it into the passion fruit pulp, mix well, then pour them all into a stainless steel pot, turn on the heat and cook until it boils over medium heat, then turn down the heat.

3. Put the prepared maltose directly into the pot and mix it with the passion fruit pulp. If the maltose is solid, you can heat it in the microwave for a while in advance, let it melt and then put it in the pot.

4. After adding maltose, stir it back and forth constantly with a spoon. After the maltose and passion fruit pulp in the pot are completely blended, add the prepared white sugar and continue to simmer over low heat. Stir constantly during the simmering process. Wait until the passion fruit pulp in the pot becomes darker in color and the juice becomes thicker and becomes a sauce-like, then you can turn off the heat.

5. After the passion fruit jam in the pot has cooled down, take it out directly, seal it in the prepared clean glass bottle, and then put it in the refrigerator. When you want to eat it, you can use a clean spoon to eat it directly.
