Essential Ingredients for Homemade Apple Cider

When you make cider at home, the necessary ingredients are apples, rock sugar, and a large, sealable glass bottle. The ratio of apples to rock sugar should be about five to one.

Steps to making homemade apple cider

1. Wash the prepared apples, remove the skin, and cut into smaller pieces for later use.

2. Put the cut apple pieces in a layer in a glass bottle, then add a layer of rock sugar, and continue to arrange them alternately. The top layer should be covered with some rock sugar.

3. After putting it in, take an appropriate amount of mineral water, boil it in a pot, and then pour it directly into the bottle with apples and rock sugar. Be careful not to pour it too full, there must be some space, otherwise the container will burst during fermentation.

4. After doing all of the above, you can store it in a warm and ventilated place. After about a month, it will ferment successfully and the smell of wine will appear. However, if you want it to taste better, it must be sealed for at least three months.

5. Before drinking homemade cider, filter it with gauze to remove the apple residue. It will taste more tempting when you drink it.
