1. If the sugar-apple feels hard after purchase, it must be ripened. The best way to ripen sugar-apple at home is to wrap it with a layer of paper, spray water on the paper, and then store it in a warm environment for one to two days. The sugar-apple will become soft. At this time, take it out, remove the skin and eat it directly to enjoy the delicious and sweet flesh.

2. Ethephon is one of the most commonly used ripening methods in many areas by fruit vendors. This is the simplest and most convenient method to ripen sugar-apple. Ethephon is a chemical substance that has a ripening effect on many fruits. You can dilute its liquid according to the proportion, and then spray it directly on the surface of the sugar-apple. Finally, cover the upper layer of the sugar-apple with plastic cloth. After one to two days, the sugar-apple will be ripe. Wash the liquid on the skin before eating.

3. You can also use the fruit combination method to ripen sugar-apples at home. Fruits such as apples and pears are the best combinations for ripening sugar-apples. The specific method is to take a plastic bag after purchasing the sugar-apples, put the sugar-apples and two or three apples or pears together, then tie the mouth of the plastic bag tightly, and then put it in a relatively humid and warm place. After 24 hours, the sugar-apples will become soft.
