In Korea, grapefruit tea is a famous health drink. The raw material of grapefruit tea is a unique specialty grown on the southern coast of Korea, called YUJA. This grapefruit has a golden skin. It is said that you can smell the rich grapefruit fragrance ten steps away, so it is named "Golden Grapefruit" in Chinese. This grapefruit tea is made by blending the pulp and peel with honey to make something like jam. It is rich in fiber and vitamin C. Eating more can prevent colds and can also moisturize the throat and reduce phlegm. In addition, from the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, golden grapefruit has the characteristics of sweet taste and bitter nature. It has the effects of poor intestines, regulating flatulence, helping digestion, improving constipation, and decomposing oils. Korean grapefruit, which is rich in vitamin C, can also beautify and whiten the skin.

How to consume grapefruit tea:

1. Hot drink method: Add two tablespoons of grapefruit tea to hot water and stir well. Adding green tea or black tea bag will make it taste better.

Second, cold drink brewing method: Same as hot drink brewing method, just add ice cubes. It can also be spread directly on bread as jam; it can also be diluted to make grapefruit jelly or grapefruit tea jelly; it can also be mixed with foreign wine to make cocktails of different flavors, the concentration can be adjusted according to the person, and no sugar is needed. If you shake it with a cocktail shaker, the ice drink tastes better.

Ingredients for grapefruit tea:

1. Grapefruit; 2. Rock sugar (about 1/5 of the weight of the grapefruit); 3. Honey (about half of the weight of the grapefruit); 4. A few teaspoons of water

practice:

1. Wash the grapefruit, soak it in warm water for about ten minutes, and take it out;

2. Absorb the moisture on the surface of the grapefruit, peel it, and separate the peel, flesh, and pulp;

3. Cut the grapefruit peel into strips, blend the pulp into a paste in a blender, and process the pulp according to your tolerance. If you are afraid of the bitterness, throw it away. If you are not afraid, keep all or part of it and cut it into dices.

4. Put the sorted grapefruit into a clean oil-free pot, add water and rock sugar, cook over medium-low heat until it becomes sticky and slightly transparent, then remove from heat and cool;

5. When it is warm (below 60°C), add honey and mix well;

6. Pour the finished product into a sealed glass bottle and store it in the refrigerator.

Other flavorings for grapefruit tea:

1. Use original honey, which has the purest taste;

2. Pomelo tea can remove bad air from the stomach and intestines, detoxify alcohol, treat breath bad breath caused by drinkers, reduce appetite and relieve cough.

3. The VC content of grapefruit is three times that of lemon.

4. A bottle of commercially available grapefruit tea costs around 40 or even more, so making it yourself is much cheaper.

Step 1: Soak the grapefruit in boiling water for 5 minutes, then peel it, making sure it is as thin as possible.

Step 2: Take out the pomelo pulp.

Step 3: Crush the pomelo into pieces. You can use a juicer.

Grapefruit Step 4: Cut the skin into strips, the thinner the better!

Some recipes also require the white part in the middle of the pomelo, but I think it is very bitter so I don’t keep it.

Grapefruit Step 5: Mix the skin and pulp thoroughly.

Step 6 of the pomelo: Now it’s time to fry it in a pan. It is recommended to use a flat pan so that it is heated evenly and not easy to get burnt!

PS: Put the mixture first, no need to add water, because there is a lot of water in the grapefruit, just add rock sugar directly, according to personal preference!
