1 orange, 1/2 cucumber, 6 cherry radishes, 100g glass lettuce, 1/4 purple cabbage, 1 carrot, 1 tomato, 20g pine nuts, 1 tablespoon (15g) of granulated sugar, 1 tablespoon (15ml) of white vinegar, 1 teaspoon (5g) of salt

Sweet Orange Vegetable Recipe

Peel the orange, then scrape off the flesh along the lines into small horn-shaped pieces.

Wash the cucumber, cut it in half, remove the pulp, and cut it into 0.5cm thick strips with the skin on. Wash the tomato, cut it into 4 pieces, remove the core, and cut the tomato flesh into thin strips.

Remove the leaves from the radish, wash and cut into thin round slices. Wash the iceberg lettuce and purple cabbage, cut into individual pieces and cut into thin strips.

Wash and peel the carrots, cut into long slices, then cut into 0.5 cm thick strips, then blanch in boiling water for 1 minute, then take out and rinse with cold water for later use.

Put orange flesh, cucumber shreds, tomato shreds, cherry radish slices, glass lettuce shreds, purple cabbage shreds and carrot shreds in a large bowl, then add salt, granulated sugar and white vinegar and mix well.

Finally, dry-roast the pine nuts in a frying pan to color them, and then sprinkle them on top.

Tips

Don't throw away the oranges after you remove the flesh. If you cut them into slices, they will become yellow "little flowers". Or you can simply put them in a juicer and squeeze them into fresh juice to drink.

Orange vegetables are suitable for children over 8 years old.
