Introduction of Golden Silk Candied Dates

Chinese dim sum is made by looking at the shape. This golden candied date looks like candied dates, with a soft and sticky texture, sweet and rich flavor. I brought a few golden candied dates to my colleagues at work. At first glance, they all thought they were real dates. After eating them, they found that they were made of glutinous rice flour. Everyone praised the golden candied dates I made for their realistic charm.

Ingredients

Main ingredients: 120g glutinous rice flour 120g sticky rice flour 15g cocoa powder water ingredients rose primer filling corn leaves

How to make golden candied dates

1 Wash the corn leaves and cut into small pieces.

2 Take 40 grams each of glutinous rice flour and sticky flour, add appropriate amount of water and knead into a dough.

3 Mix the remaining glutinous rice flour, sticky rice flour and cocoa powder evenly.

4 Put the kneaded dough into a pot of cold water and cook until it floats, then remove from the pot.

5 Place the cooked dough in the bowl with mixed dry ingredients.

6 Add appropriate amount of cold water to the cooked dough and dry powder and slowly knead into dough.

7 Take a small piece of dough the size of a glutinous rice ball, flatten it with your palm, and scoop a spoonful of rose primer filling on the dough.

8 Pinch the dough, roll it into an oval shape, and then pinch it into the shape of a candied date.

9 Use a knife to carve several straight lines into the raw dough of the candied dates.

10 Take a small piece of corn leaf and place it under the candied dates.

11 Put the candied dates in a steamer with boiling water and steam them over medium heat for 7 minutes. Take them out and let them cool before eating.

12 The filling of the rose primer can be replaced with red bean paste or sesame paste, depending on your preference.
