How to grow potted peonies? How to grow potted peonies at home

Peony is the national flower of China. It is known as the king of flowers and has a beautiful appearance. It is the favorite ornamental plant of flower lovers of all generations. However, the peonies we see in life are mostly planted in large areas of gardens. Some people want to make them into potted plants and grow them at home, but they don’t know how to do it. Today, the editor will tell you about this knowledge.

How to grow peony in pot at home

1. When growing peonies in flower pots at home, you can choose ordinary plastic pots, but the plastic pots must be deeper, which is conducive to the development of the peony flowers. When planting peonies, you can directly buy ready-made peony seedlings from the flower market or online, put simple flower fertilizers sold in the market in the flower pots, and then water them enough and plant the peony seedlings in the flower pots.

2. After planting the peony in a pot, you can place it in a cool environment for 5 to 7 days to slow down the growth, and then move it to a sunny environment. It can only bloom beautiful and bright flowers if it is exposed to sufficient light during its growth period. However, after entering the hot summer weather, shade should be provided in time. Although Li Jian Fritillaria single flower likes sunlight, it is afraid of exposure to the sun. If it is exposed to strong light, its leaves will be burned.

3. There are certain methods and techniques for watering potted peonies when growing them at home. Not only must you master the principle of watering when the soil is dry and when the soil is wet, but you must also master the water quality for watering. You can usually add some soybean water or rice water, or you can use water from washing milk bottles or water for raising fish to water the peony. This will increase the peony's intake of phosphorus fertilizer, allow it to bloom more flowers, and make the flowers brighter in color.

4. During the cultivation period of potted peonies, you must also pay attention to the prevention and control of diseases and pests. The chance of this plant being attacked by pests is not high, but if there is a large amount of water accumulation in the flowerpot or poor ventilation, root rot will occur. At this time, you need to spray medicine in time for treatment, or you can control the water temperature to prevent the spread of the disease.
