How to plant Impatiens seeds? Planting techniques of Impatiens

Impatiens is an ornamental plant that many people like. This plant has strong vitality and obvious antibacterial effect. It has a long flowering period, bright colors and attractive fragrance. Usually many people want to grow Impatiens at home, but after getting Impatiens seeds, they don’t know how to plant it. Today, the editor will introduce this knowledge to you.

How to plant Impatiens seeds

1. Prepare the Impatiens seeds and choose the right time to put them in the pot. The sowing period of this plant is mostly from March to April every spring. It is best to wait until the temperature rises and remains stable before sowing. This can increase the germination rate of Impatiens seeds.

2. The soil should be prepared before sowing Impatiens seeds. This plant likes loose, fertile, slightly acidic soil. If there is no land at home, you can prepare a larger flowerpot, put about 80% of loose soil in it, and then leave about 20% dry soil.

3. Prepare an appropriate amount of clean water and sprinkle it evenly on the prepared flowerpot. Be careful not to sprinkle too much. After sprinkling the water, sprinkle the Impatiens seeds on the soil. The distance between the seeds should be appropriate and not too dense. After planting the seeds, sprinkle the reserved dry soil on the surface of the seeds. The dry soil covering the surface of the seeds should only be a thin layer, as long as it covers the Impatiens seeds.

4. After sowing, you can take an appropriate amount of plastic film to cover the flower pot, which will help the germination of Impatiens seeds. If the temperature is high, you can leave the plastic film on. Then put the flower pot in a warm place where it can receive sunlight, and water it once in the morning and evening every day. In about ten days, the Impatiens seeds will germinate, and you can transplant them directly after they grow four leaves. After transplanting, let them grow for another 3 to 5 days, and then you can put them in the sun for formal cultivation.
