Honeysuckle picking time and picking method

Honeysuckle picking time and picking method

Honeysuckle is often used to make tea and has great medicinal value in traditional Chinese medicine. The planting and picking of honeysuckle is very particular, and there may be allergic problems. The following will introduce how to pick honeysuckle, and also understand whether picking honeysuckle will cause allergies.

Honeysuckle picking time and picking method

1. How to pick honeysuckle - time

The most appropriate time to pick honeysuckle is in autumn every year. It is not suitable to pick honeysuckle in dewy weather or rainy days. Of course, if there is drying equipment at the place where the honeysuckle is stopped, it can continue to be picked. It is more suitable to pick honeysuckle in sunny and dry seasons, and the product has a stronger fragrance. If it is picked in the afternoon or in rainy weather, the quality of honeysuckle will be reduced.

2. How to pick honeysuckle - container

It is more appropriate to use a bamboo basket or cage to pick honeysuckle. Do not use cloth bags, paper boxes and other objects, which are more susceptible to moisture, causing the honeysuckle to produce moisture and become moldy and rotten. The stamens of honeysuckle are very delicate, so after picking, they should be gently placed in the basket, and do not hold it too tightly, which will damage the quality of the honeysuckle.

3. How to pick honeysuckle - drying

After picking, honeysuckle needs to be dried. It can be dried naturally in the sun on sunny days. Spread the honeysuckle on a thin bamboo mat (the thickness cannot exceed one centimeter). When it is about 70% hot, place it in a cool and ventilated place and then dry it in the sun to prevent the honeysuckle from becoming brittle and broken.
