1. Reproduction method

When planting ferns, you can reproduce them through both sexual and asexual reproduction. Asexual reproduction is the simplest. The row spacing should be between 7 and 80 cm, and the plant spacing should be between 50 and 60 cm.

2. Land preparation

When planting ferns, you need to choose fertile soil with humus, and apply organic fertilizers such as fallen leaf compost and animal manure when preparing the land, and then make flat or raised ridges with a width of about one centimeter. You can plant after the land is completely thawed.

3. Field management

Field management is also very demanding when growing ferns. Normally, you should weed and water the plant in time during its growth period, and strengthen drainage after the rainy season, otherwise it will cause root rot. You should apply fertilizer in time when it is in the peak growth season. It is best to choose sparse liquid fertilizer. After winter, you should cover it with dead grass to ensure that new shoots will grow in time after the spring of the following year.

4. Harvest

Bracken can be harvested for many years after being planted once. Spring and early summer are the best seasons for harvesting ferns. When its young stems grow to about 25 centimeters and the leaflets have not stretched, they can be harvested. They should be eaten immediately after harvesting. If they are not harvested for a long time, their edible value will be affected, but harvesting too early will reduce the yield in the next year.
