In addition to preparing a piece of fresh tofu and four or five scallions, you also need to prepare peppercorns, white pepper powder, cooking oil, salt, sesame oil, chicken essence and other seasonings. If the seasonings are not complete, the scallion tofu will not be perfect.

How to make homemade scallion tofu

1. Cut the prepared tofu into small cubes and set aside. Put water in a pot and bring it to a boil, then put the diced tofu into the boiling water and blanch it. When blanching, you should take out the tofu as soon as the water boils, as over-blanching will affect the taste.

2. Put the tofu in cold water to cool it down. After cooling down, take it out and remove the water for later use.

3. Remove the old outer skin of the green onion, wash it with clean water, and cut it into small cubes for later use.

4. Add the prepared salt, white pepper, sesame oil, chicken essence and other seasonings into the tofu, and sprinkle chopped green onions on the top.

5. Heat the wok, add cooking oil, put the peppercorns in and fry until fragrant. Pour the peppercorn oil on the tofu while it is still hot. Use chopsticks to mix the green onions and tofu evenly before eating, then serve directly on the table.
