Methods and techniques for preserving straw mushrooms

Straw mushrooms are a type of fungus that has a particularly strong after-ripening effect. If people do not store them properly after harvesting them, they will soon open their caps and become no longer fresh. Therefore, you should promptly preserve straw mushrooms after collecting and purchasing them. I will also give a special introduction to straw mushroom preservation methods and preservation techniques later. You can take a look at them carefully. If you preserve straw mushrooms according to these methods in the future, you can easily eat nutritious and fresh straw mushrooms.

Methods and techniques for preserving straw mushrooms

1. Straw mushrooms can be quick-frozen to keep fresh

After collecting or purchasing straw mushrooms, first select them and remove the diseased ones, then store them directly in an environment of minus 20 degrees Celsius and keep the temperature constant. This will allow the straw mushrooms to remain fresh within three months, and its taste and color will not change significantly.

2. Straw mushrooms can be preserved with hydrochloric acid

Straw mushrooms can also be preserved using dilute hydrochloric acid. The specific method is to put straw mushrooms and hydrochloric acid liquid together in a ratio of 1:1.2, let the hydrochloric acid liquid submerge the fresh straw mushrooms, and place them in a relatively low temperature environment. This can also keep the straw mushrooms fresh for more than ten days. When eating, just wash off the hydrochloric acid on the surface of the straw mushrooms with clean water.

3. Straw mushrooms can be kept fresh with carbon dioxide

After the straw mushrooms are harvested, their vitality does not disappear and they will still breathe, which will cause the fresh straw mushrooms to age quickly. At this time, you can place the fresh straw mushrooms in a sealed environment to increase the amount of carbon dioxide in the air, which will inhibit the respiration of the straw mushrooms. When the carbon dioxide content in the air reaches 25%, the shelf life of the straw mushrooms can be extended to about five to seven days.
