Ingredients for pickling whole cucumbers

When you pickle a whole cucumber, you can prepare 5 kg of cucumber, two peppercorns, 500 g of salt, 1500 g of soy sauce, 350 g of white wine, 350 g of sugar, 200 g of ginger and garlic each, 100 g of MSG, and 50 g of white vinegar.

How to pickle whole cucumbers

1. Wash the cucumbers and drain the water. Apply the prepared salt evenly on the surface of each cucumber. Arrange the cucumbers with salt neatly and press them with a heavy object. Press for about twelve hours so that some water in the cucumbers can flow out. Then take out the cucumbers and dry them.

2. Wash the peppercorns and set aside, slice the ginger, peel the garlic, then put all the seasonings such as soy sauce, white wine, sugar, MSG, and white vinegar together, cook them in a pot, and make the sauce after boiling.

3. Put the processed cucumbers in a container and add the seasoning. If the cucumbers cannot be completely soaked, add some boiled water. Finally, add garlic, ginger slices and peppercorns. Stir once a day. After about a week, the whole cucumber will be pickled and can be taken out for consumption.
