When you pickle green peppers at home, you can prepare the green peppers and salt in a ratio of 5 to 1. Then you can prepare the common seasonings such as peppercorns, aniseed and ginger according to your preferences.

Steps for pickling whole green peppers

1. Process the green peppers you bought, remove the stalks, wash them clean, drain the water, and poke a few holes on the surface of the green peppers to help them absorb the flavor.

2. Take a pot and put water in it, add salt and bring to a boil, then put pepper, star anise, ginger and other seasonings into a seasoning bag, put the seasoning bag into the pot, and continue to cook. After about five minutes, turn off the heat, take out the seasoning bag, and let the sauce cool.

3. Put the processed green peppers into the pickle jar, and then pour the seasoning sauce into it, so that the sauce covers the green peppers, then seal it and put it in a cool place. Remember to turn it over once a day, and do it for five consecutive days. Then continue to pickle it. After about a month, the whole green pepper will be pickled. You can take it out and eat it directly, or cut it into thin strips and eat it.
