What to do if eggplant fruit rots? How to prevent and treat eggplant fruit rot

How to prevent and treat eggplant rot? Today I will tell you the specific methods:

1. Occurrence

The main diseases that cause fruit rot are:

1. Gray mold: Brown water-soaked spots first appear around the fruit stem, which expand to dark brown. Gray mold appears on the surface, and the inside of the fruit turns black and rots.

2. Cotton blight: Water-soaked round spots that later expand to become yellow-brown. When wet, white cotton-like mycelium is produced in the diseased area, and the fruit turns black and rots.

3. Brown streak disease: Brown circular sunken spots with dark brown spots on them. When the spots expand, there will be ring patterns, and the fruit will rot or become dead in the later stage.

4. Anthracnose: Water-soaked circular or irregular lesions, which expand into concentric rings and are densely covered with many small black spots, surrounded by moist discolored circles, and the fruit turns black and rots. 5. Sclerotinia: The diseased part is light gray-brown water-soaked, which expands to dark brown. When wet, white mold-like substances are produced on the surface, and black granular sclerotia are produced.

2. Prevention and treatment

1. Agricultural prevention and control: ① Implement crop rotation, avoid continuous cropping with Solanaceae and melon vegetables, but allow continuous cropping with cruciferous and legume vegetables.

② Strengthen cultivation management, adopt high ridges and deep trenches cultivation, reduce field humidity, timely prune and remove diseased and insect-infested leaves, etc., strengthen ventilation and light transmission, so as to be conducive to plant growth and development but not conducive to the occurrence of pathogens.

③ Carry out seed disinfection and ground sterilization. Before sowing, you can use 600 times liquid of new lipid film to soak the seeds.

2. Chemical control: prevention is the main method. You can use root irrigation and spray disinfectants. To prevent brown streak and anthracnose, you can use 600 times diluted new lipid film, or 600 times diluted 70% mancozeb WP or anti-virus WP, or 1500 times diluted 10% Seco WG. Generally, it is used every 7 to 10 days, and it can be used 3 to 4 times continuously depending on the condition. The drugs can be used alternately.
