Recipe Nutrition

Pork (lean): Pork is rich in high-quality protein and essential fatty acids, and provides hemoglobin (organic iron) and cysteine which promotes iron absorption, which can improve iron deficiency anemia. It has the effects of nourishing the kidney and blood, nourishing yin and moistening dryness. Compared with other parts of pork, lean pork is rich in high-quality protein and less fat and cholesterol. It can be consumed in moderation by the general population.

Coriander: Coriander contains many volatile oils, and its special aroma is emitted by the volatile oils. It can remove the fishy smell of meat, so adding some coriander to some dishes can play a unique effect of removing the fishy smell and enhancing the taste. Coriander extract has a significant function of sweating, clearing heat and clearing rashes. Its special fragrance can stimulate the secretion of sweat glands, prompting the body to sweat and clear rashes. It also has the effect of harmonizing the stomach and regulating the middle, because coriander is spicy and fragrant, which can promote gastrointestinal peristalsis and has the effect of appetizing and invigorating the spleen.

Magnolia tablets: Magnolia tablets are rich in protein, vitamins, crude fiber, carbohydrates, calcium, phosphorus, iron, sugar and other nutrients. From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, Magnolia tablets are sweet, neutral in nature, and can calm asthma and eliminate phlegm.

Recipe incompatibility:

Pork (lean): Pork should not be eaten with black plum, licorice, crucian carp, shrimp, pigeon meat, snails, almonds, donkey meat, lamb liver, coriander, turtle, water chestnut, buckwheat, quail meat, and beef. It is not advisable to drink a lot of tea after eating pork.

Milk and lean meat are not suitable to be eaten together, because milk contains a lot of calcium, while lean meat contains phosphorus. These two nutrients cannot be absorbed at the same time. Foreign medical circles call it phosphorus-calcium incompatibility. The best ratio of calcium to phosphorus is between 1:1 and 1:1.5, at which time they promote each other's absorption.

Coriander: When taking tonics and Chinese medicines such as Atractylodes macrocephala and Cortex Moutan, it is not advisable to take coriander to avoid reducing the efficacy of the tonics; at the same time, do not add coriander to pork, otherwise it will help heat and produce phlegm.
