My mother used to make corn pancakes for me when I was at home, so today I will tell you how to make them:

Corn Pancake Introduction

As the old saying goes, "Five grains are for nourishment", which means that both coarse and fine grains are rich in nutrition and eating them together is good for health. Eating coarse grains can prevent cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and diabetes, and it also has the effect of cleaning the stomach and intestines, losing weight and beautifying.

So I put some whole grains on my family’s dining table almost every day, and often use whole grains to make various pasta dishes. This corn pancake is one of them.

Corn pancake ingredients

200g cornmeal 50g millet flour

50g self-raising flour 50g soybean flour

250g milk A handful of raisins

15 pitted red dates

How to make corn pancakes

1. Soak raisins and red dates in warm water for more than ten minutes, and break the red dates into pieces by hand.

2. Mix all the ingredients, stir evenly with milk and warm water, make dough, and let it rise for about half an hour

3. After the electric baking pan is preheated, brush a little oil on the bottom plate, grab a small piece of dough with your hands, roll it into a round shape, flatten it into a round pancake, put it into the electric baking pan, brush a little more oil on the pancake, and close the lid.

4. After about 3-4 minutes, open the lid and take out to eat.

Corn pancakes tips

Mr. Dongpo said: "You can't live without meat, and you can't live without bamboo." Now this poem can be changed to: "You can't live without coarse food, and you can't live without bamboo." Whether it is children or the elderly, they should eat some coarse grains. Coarse grains can be said to be suitable for all ages!

Although eating whole grains has many benefits, you should know when to stop, because eating too much whole grains is not conducive to digestion and will also hinder the absorption of other nutrients. It is enough to eat whole grains and beans that account for 1/3 of the total food intake every day.

You can also prepare the dough for this pancake the night before and bake it the next morning. It is a great breakfast when served with a bowl of soy milk or rice porridge and some side dishes.
