1. When making cornmeal steamed cake, you need to prepare 300 grams of yellow cornmeal and 10 grams of yeast, as well as 150 grams of white sugar and 3 grams of baking soda.

2. Put the cornmeal into a basin, dissolve the yeast with warm water, and then pour it into the cornmeal in the basin and stir evenly. The flour made with cornmeal is less sticky, so it is best to make it thinner. After it is done, you can put it in a warm environment for fermentation.

3. After the corn flour is fermented, take it out and add the prepared white sugar and baking soda and knead it together for at least ten minutes, then leave the kneaded flour there to rise for a while.

4. Add water to the steamer, then put a cage cloth on the steamer. It is best to wet the cage cloth with some water and heat it. When the water temperature in the pot reaches more than 40 degrees, you can pour the processed cornmeal on the steamer and flatten it with your hands. You can also put some raisins or red dates on the upper layer.

5. Steam over high heat for about fifteen minutes, then turn off the heat. After about five minutes, open the lid of the pot, pour the steamed cake on the dough board, let it dry for a while, and then cut it into pieces of your favorite shape with a knife before eating.
