When closing the lid, don't do it rashly. There will be a triangle mark next to the lid handle. Align it with the triangle mark on the pot handle and it will be easy to close.

Third,

After the steam is on, be sure to turn to low heat.

After turning off the engine, do not rush to open it. As the temperature drops, the pressure inside will gradually be discharged. After the safety valve falls and the pressure limiting valve stops emitting steam, you can open it then.

Some say that you can put a wet and cool towel on the lid, or put the pressure cooker under the faucet and pour cold water on it. This can quickly exhaust the air and reduce waiting time. In my opinion, these two methods may be the culprits that "harmed" my previous pressure cooker. The cooling will gradually cause some physical changes in the pot body, and over time it will cause the sealing between the pot body to fail, causing air leakage. Therefore, it is better to wait patiently for it to cool down naturally. This is also a manifestation of caring for the pot body.

As for when to put the pressure limiting valve in place, I think it doesn't matter. You can wait until after the engine is turned on, or you can put it in at the beginning. I'm the latter type now, and I put it in at the beginning to save trouble. I just turn down the heat after the engine is turned on, and turn off the engine at a certain time.
