Asparagus cochinchinensis is sweet, moist, bitter and cold in nature. It is suitable for people with yin deficiency, dry lungs, heat, dry cough, less sputum, hemoptysis, sore throat and hoarseness. For people who cough but can't cough up sputum, eating asparagus cochinchinensis can both relieve cough and remove sputum. The way to eat asparagus cochinchinensis is the same as that of commonly used Chinese medicines such as Ophiopogon japonicus, Adenophora radix and Fritillaria cirrhosa. It can be added to porridge and soup for daily consumption.

In addition to relieving autumn cough, Chinese medicine believes that asparagus can also eliminate fatigue and enhance energy. This is because it also has the effect of nourishing yin and kidney yin, and is suitable for office workers. But it is better at nourishing lung yin, so timely supplementing asparagus in autumn and winter can prevent and treat a series of dryness and heat symptoms caused by dryness and can fight against dry skin and keep the skin moisturized. It should be warned that as asparagus is sweet, cold and moist, it is easy to cause diarrhea, chest tightness, abdominal distension, and lack of energy.

Modern research shows that the main components of asparagine are 19 kinds of amino acids such as asparagine, citrulline, glycine, a variety of oligosaccharides, steroidal saponins, asparagine polysaccharides, etc. Pharmacological studies have shown that asparagine can protect the myocardium and liver; stabilize blood pressure, lower cholesterol, blood sugar and have antibacterial effects; and has a strong effect of scavenging superoxide free radicals, thereby reducing the occurrence of atherosclerosis and tumors, and indirectly delaying aging.

Erdong ointment

Take equal proportions of Asparagus cochinchinensis and Radix Ophiopogonis, put them in a casserole, add water and soak for 1 hour, heat and boil, take the decoction once every 20 minutes, then add warm water and boil again, take the decoction 3 times in total, combine the decoctions and heat, boil and concentrate them on low heat until they become sticky like paste. After cooling, add 1 cup of honey, bottle and seal after cooling, and store in the refrigerator. Take 1 tablespoon each morning and evening, dissolve in boiling water and drink. This tea is especially suitable for quenching thirst and dryness after exercise in autumn and winter, and keeping the skin moisturized.

Introduction to Asparagus Porridge

15g of asparagus, 100g of polished rice, a little rock sugar. Fry the asparagus first, remove the residue and take the juice. Cook porridge with polished rice and add the asparagus juice. After the porridge is cooked, add a little rock sugar and cook for a while. Take it on an empty stomach, it can cure coughing, vomiting blood, sore throat, thirst, constipation and other discomforts.

Asparagus and Radish Pork Rib Soup

15g of asparagus, 150g of spareribs, 300g of white radish. Take asparagus and fry it with 2 bowls of water over medium heat. When 1 bowl of water is left, remove the residue and keep the juice for later use. Put the pork ribs into the pot and cook first. After boiling, add the shredded radish and the cooked asparagus juice. Cook until done and take out. This soup can cure dry mouth, sore throat, lung heat cough, etc.

The surface is yellow-white or light brown-yellow, translucent, with thick strips, yellow-white cross-section, and a white central column.
